This sweet couple just joined the Amazing RVs family! The Gaines had their share of campers over the years, and were ready for another one. This time they wanted plenty of room for the grandchildren! When they camp alone, they are planning use the bunk beds for extra storage. They had a camping trip planned a few days before their bunkhouse was scheduled to arrive, so they rented the “Whitney” for their trip. They came back with the rental & left with their very own Kodiak Ultra Lite 283BHSL. They reserved the Kodiak sight unseen and it met all of their expectations when they finally saw it in person. They are super excited about all of the extra space! Congratulations to the Gaines & their grand babies!!

Joe came in late Friday afternoon looking for a RV that would accommodate 6 adults comfortably. They go from state to state following destruction and repair power lines. They have been in Louisiana repairing lines from Laura, and are headed back to repair damage from Delta.
He loved the Gulf Stream Conquest 279BH. It had a large living space and two separate bedroom areas to give more privacy. He decided to name the camper Delta after their first storm in the new camper!
We expedited the process, and got him out the door Saturday afternoon so they could take “Delta” back to Louisiana to get started repairing lines again. We know “Delta” will serve you well for many years, and provide a safe place for your crew to rest as they help in the aftermath of destruction. Welcome to the Amazing RV family!

Mr. Kempfer researched ATCs for a long time, and knew he wanted an ATC 8.5X40 fifth wheel toy hauler. He noticed on our website that we had one advertised as coming soon, so he called to get the specs. It had everything he wanted, so he put a deposit on it, sight unseen. When the RV arrived, he came to look at it. He was particularly interested in the sleeping quarters because they have a 15 year old son that is 6’2” and growing. The happy jack bed had plenty of room for him, so they gave the approval to proceed. Welcome to the Amazing RV’s family!

Kurt visited Palo Duro Canyon State Park and nearby famous Texas attractions! The Canyon is outstanding, and is the second largest in the nation. They made the short drive to Amarillo to see the Jack Sizemore RV Museum, tag the Caddies at The Cadillac Ranch, and eat a steak at The Big Texan, where if you eat the 72 oz steak, it’s free. They did not attempt! They were most proud of conquering a 7 mile hike to see The Lighthouse formation in the canyon!
Lost Maples State Natural Area - Texas Parks and Wildlife

Leaf Report (a day early). The chill of the north winds settled into the Sabinal Canyon over the weekend and reminded the maples it is definitely fall. The trees responded with pops of color throughout the natural area, showing off their yellow, red and orange leaves. Although not quite at their peak, the maples are certainly on their way. The long lasting cool nights and sunny days will keep this fall transformation going for a couple more weeks. Mr. Clayton was looking into the ATC toy hauler company. We got the email from ATC themselves about what Mr. Clayton was wanting based on length and style. We gave him a call and went straight to work on the build. It took ATC a few months to build i, but boy when it hit the lot, it was such a beautiful toy hauler. He put dark interior cabinets and taupe colored walls which made it so warm and comforting. We are so happy to have Mr. Clayton in his camper. Welcome to the Amazing RVs family!

The Carvers took their three boys (ages 11, 9 and 9). to Lake Whitney for Thanksgiving, and they LOVED it! They spent time skipping rocks by the lake, riding scooters, swinging at the playground, just being goofy, going on hikes, hanging by the fire, playing board games, and corn hole. Playing in the trailer was a highlight! Lots of family time. They enjoyed eating meals outside and think pancakes on the outdoor grill are better than at home. So much fun!!!

Here’s an easy Christmas morning breakfast!
2 cans of Cinnamon rolls quartered
1 can apple pie filling
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Mix together in a bowl. Pour in a sprayed 9x13 baking dish. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Cinnamon roll icing for the topping when it comes out of the oven.

This second round of winter weather, Viola, has brought freezing rain to the park. As of mid-day today, electricity to the Walnut Ridge Unit is out with no expected time when it will be restored.
The freezing rain is forecast to continue all day and overnight temps will drop below freezing. The ice is collecting on trees and power lines. We expect to lose power to the rest of the park at any time.
If you have a reservation arriving tomorrow, we are going to need to cancel it. A full refund will be given. A decision about reservations arriving Friday, will be made tomorrow around mid-morning. Without electricity, we cannot provide the basic needs of our guests and with frozen trees, the park will be unsafe.

Today, we got an update from Mr. Freeman. He hasn’t been have to catch any fish when camping in it. He said he spends all his time talking to the people stopping to talk about his new Aliner!
