About American Acupuncture Academy
Located in Mount Dora, FL, SaTerra Vishnu, DOM, AP has over 30 years of clinical experience. A 1986 graduate of the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, IL where he obtained his degrees in Acupuncture, Herbs and Manipulative Therapy. Dr. Vishnu then completed an internship at America’s first acupuncture alcohol and drug detox clinic in South Bronx, NY. He received a certificate in the NADA Protocol (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association). Upon completion, he traveled to the PRC (Peoples Republic of China) where he took advanced studies in acupuncture at the Guangzhou College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Since then he has had extensive training in BioElectrical Diagnostics and German Homotoxicology using bioenergetic equipment to find underlying pathogens such as parasites, viruses and bacteria which are rarely addressed or found in American Medicine tests. Dr. Vishnu is also certified in NAET (Nambudripads Allergy Elimination Technique) and Acupoint Injection Therapy. All of this education and experience gives Dr. Vishnu a unique view into the underlying health issues that could be keeping you in ill health. He truly works with the whole person: body, mind, emotions, and spirit.
Dr. Vishnu has 4 grown daughters, born at home and unvaccinated, with his partner Shaylah who also runs the office at A3.
