🌹🌸💐 Congratulations to @thepainteddaisyfloral for winning September Business of the Month! If you haven’t been in their store in Highland, go check it out! It smells so good in there, and there is so much cute stuff! P.S. Tina did the flowers for my daughter’s wedding and they were PERFECT - absolutely gorgeous!
We had another great Women in Business luncheon today with an amazing panel of local non-profit groups (The Children’s Justice Center, Courage Reins, Younique Foundation, Tabitha’s Way, and Arrive Utah)! Each panelists told us about their organization and how we can help with their mission. There are a lot of people in need and so many great groups out there working hard to help those people and make our community a better place. Utah County is such a giving and caring place! Thank you to our panelists, the Hyatt House in Pleasant Grove for hosting and providing lunch, and Dowdle Folk Art for providing gifts for our speakers. Thank you to the attendees for bringing school supplies to be donated to a local elementary school! We have so many items that they didn’t all fit in the basket! Also a huge THANK YOU to Ken Garff American Fork for sponsoring North Utah County Women in Business! Our next meeting will be in December. More details coming soon!

We had another great luncheon today at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites! We heard from Jason Caywood about how to succeed in uncertainty (lots of uncertainty this year! 🥴) and enjoyed a delicious lunch from Kitchen 88 as well as plenty of networking. Be sure to join us next month for bowling at FatCats in Saratoga Springs! 🎳 This is a fun tradition, and we need American Fork to take home the trophy again!

The state of Utah has redesigned the guidelines to try to halt the spike in COVID-19 cases. The COVID-19 Transmission Index places counties in one of three transmission levels: High, Moderate, or Low. These levels correspond directly to case rates, positivity rates, and ICU utilization. See Utah County’s level and corresponding health guidance and read the new Business Manual, which is a step-by-step plan from the Utah Department of Health to protect your business and prevent the spread of COVID-19 at coronavirus.utah.gov.

How many of you have been to American Fork’s newest Mexican Restaurant, Sol-Agave? 🙋🏼‍♀️ Their dishes are unique, beautifully presented, and DELICIOUS! The butter cake is to die for! They are located at 598 W Main St, Suite A and are open for dine-in and catering. We are so excited to have them in American Fork! Great food and great people. Go check them out if you haven’t yet!
It is a beautiful day for another Ribbon Cutting! Today we are celebrating Rekover Chiropractic Center moving to their NEW location in American Fork. They have been in a different office in AF for a few years but recently moved to a new, bigger space on Merchant Street. They provide a variety of treatments from regenerative therapy to chiropractic treatment to functional rehabilitation. If you’re feeling the aches and pains of an injury or an active lifestyle, go see Dr. Averett and his team!
Today we were able to celebrate the Grand Opening of yet another fabulous Mexican restaurant in American Fork! Los Aribertos just opened at 802 E State Street, and we speak from experience when we say that the chicken burrito is DELICIOUS! The fajitas and chimichangas are pretty popular as well, and they serve breakfast burritos all day! Go check them out and tell them that the Chamber of Commerce sent you. 🙂
We encourage all businesses to take the pledge to Stay Safe to Stay Open! Stay Safe to Stay Open seeks to educate, inform, and help businesses communicate to their consumers that they have pledged to follow safety guidance from the Utah Department of Health. Businesses participating in the campaign will be able to clearly communicate their participation with colorful signage displayed in their windows and throughout their establishment. Read and take the pledge at stayopenutah.com. Fill out the short form and then contact us at chamber@afcity.net or call 801-472-7467 to make arrangements to get the signage that demonstrates your company has taken the pledge to Stay Safe to Stay Open.
THU, NOV 19 AT 11:45 AM MST North Utah County Chamber Alliance Connect 4 Lunch
The American Fork Chamber of Commerce would like to say THANK YOU to our amazing and generous businesses, supportive and fantastic city employees and elected officials, and extremely patient and awesome residents for making Halloween (Not) on Main such a huge success last night! We were not expecting that many trick-or-treaters but had so much fun seeing all of your cute kids in their costumes, and we appreciated all the smiles and kind words, even after you had waited in line for a LONG time. 🦸🏼‍♀️🧟👨🏾‍🚀 Another one of the reasons American Fork is the best place to live, work, and play! Hopefully next year we will be back to doing this event in-person walking up and down Main Street, but if not, we’ll make some adjustments to get everyone through quicker. Thank you again, and we hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween today! 🎃 👻 American Fork City
It’s been a week full of Ribbon Cuttings around here! Today we are excited to welcome Densley Development to American Fork! They are a property management/real estate brokerage that offers several other services as well. They are headquartered in South Jordan and now have a satellite office here in AF at 734 E 500 S. We love all of the new businesses coming to our city and love being a part of their grand opening celebrations!
Attention Businesses: Following weeks of continued stress on Utah’s hospital networks due to a rise in cases of COVID-19, Gov. Gary R. Herbert has declared a new State of Emergency to address hospital overcrowding. The situation is dire and unsustainable. We must take action now to protect our hospitals and healthcare workers and to avoid further devastation on our families, communities, and businesses. Along with the State of Emergency, the governor and Utah Department of Health have issued concurrent executive and public health orders to curb the surge of cases in Utah. The orders are effective Monday, Nov. 9 and will remain in effect until Nov. 23, 2020. Please note that this is NOT a shutdown, and businesses may remain open as long as they follow the guidelines. There may be fines for businesses who fail to follow the requirements in the Public Health Order. If you have any questions or would like more information, please go to coronavirus.utah.gov.
CONGRATULATIONS to Courage Reins for winning October Business of the Month! Courage Reins provides equine-assisted therapies such as Therapeutic Riding, Mental and Behavioral Health, Occupational Therapy, Natural Horsemanship, and Military Services, and in addition to staff, they have over 100 active volunteers and a herd of 20+ horses. They are great Chamber members and provide an amazing service to the community!

Don’t miss the 2020 Utah County Business Summit! This year’s summit is hosted by the American Fork Chamber of Commerce and presented in coordination with the Point of the Mountain and Eagle Mountain Chambers of Commerce. There have been many unexpected twists and turns for every industry in Utah this year, and we all continue to do our best to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. As 2020 comes to a close, we want to provide a way for people to connect and share helpful and hopeful information, especially as the pandemic accelerates during the holiday season. This year the summit will be presented virtually from 9:00 to 11:00 am on December 9. We have a dynamic line-up of speakers who will be presenting throughout the morning about how to successfully move forward into 2021. The link to register is in our bio and information about how to join the meeting will be sent to registrants the day before the summit.
American Fork! This year Santa Claus is coming to you! We’re bringing Santa to American Fork THIS SATURDAY! He will be riding on a fire truck with Mayor Frost to parade 33 miles through the city and will stop at the library to pick up his letters. (See flyer for parade route details.) Kids can go to the library to pick up special stationery and then drop their letters into the mailbox and pick up a gift at the library from now until December 23rd. (Kids: don’t worry if you don’t get your letter in the mailbox before Saturday - we’ll make sure he gets all of the letters before Christmas!) This year there are also lights and a Santa mural at Art Dye Park for families to enjoy and take photos with throughout the holiday season!
