Amir R. Dehdashti, MD, FACS, FEBNS serves as the Director of Cerebrovascular Neurosurgery Research at North Shore University Hospital and as Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
Dr. Dehdashti completed his medical education at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and his neurosurgery residency at Geneva University Hospitals. He is one of the few dual-trained cerebrovascular and skull base surgeons in the country with two dedicated and separate fellowships, one in skull base and minimally invasive endoscopic surgery and one in cerebrovascular neurosurgery, both at Toronto Western Hospital.
Dr. Dehdashti is a member of several prestigious organizations, both national and international and published over 90 papers and has given over 200 lectures on topics relevant to cerebrovascular, skull base tumors, pituitary tumors and cranial nerve disorders including trigeminal neuralgia.
