Tonight, we finished the 8 week inaugural Dream BIG Workshop and couldn’t be more proud of everyone involved! They set challenging goals, overcame obstacles, encouraged each other, made incredible progress, and kicked fear to the curb. Projects included writing drafts of books to print, launching a youth-led merchandise business, creating a long lasting family blessing, generating unique approaches to help bridge communication among churches, a youths dream to own a boat for lots of fun, creating a better support system for the local immigrant community, empowering people to obtain a GED, and helping establish a movement to eradicate human trafficking. Amazing right!! A sincere thank you to each participant and to Connexion West for the never-ending support.
Consider joining us on October 17th for a one-day event to equip YOU to play your part in abolishing human trafficking. This global summit is being broadcast by A21.org and Kim Martin, Chairperson of the Pickaway Human Trafficking Coalition, will be in attendance at Connexion West to help answer questions and guide discussion on practical steps for local community involvement. We currently have over 500 FREE new coats available to kids 18 years old and under, and kids over 18 years old if they are still in High School and whose families meet temporary assistance for needy families (TANF) income guidelines. We have boys and girls coats with sizes ranging from 2T to Adult X-large. Please call us Monday - Friday between the hours of 9am and 3pm at 740-785-4623 to schedule a time for pickup!
