Amyx donates to Food for Neighbors in support of students in our local community
With the pandemic causing school closures in our community and impacting our local students, Food for Neighbors shifted their support by not only continuing to provide food for students but also assisting with weekend food distribution. Students are still receiving breakfast and lunch via Grab & Go programs and school buses delivering meals. They have also incorporated giving school social workers and parent liaisons grocery store gift cards to give to their students and families struggling. With our contribution, we were able to support several students and their families in this trying time.
A note from Food for Neighbors:
I just wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank you for your incredibly generous donation to Food For Neighbors. Partners like you not only allow us to buy food, supplies and grocery store gift cards as needed, but you give us encouragement as we continue our work. With the pandemic, school closures and many people out of work, the needs of our community have grown exponentially. Your donation has allowed us to meet those needs and for that we are grateful!
Thank you so much and we hope you stay well.

Amyx is Helping to Enable COVID-19 Response
From supporting front-line response agencies to enabling the procurement of critical medical supplies to supporting the military’s urgent and critical medical response activities, Amyx’s employees are making a difference in the global effort to maintain the rapidly spreading Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) and its effects.
Since January 2020, Amyx has been providing daily operational support to the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) and its partners by developing real-time status of COVID-19 impacts to the Government’s supply chain operations. Using various visualization tools and an internal SharePoint instance, Amyx is enabling situational awareness and collaboration for the Operational Planning Team, a joint group of combatant commands and air and sea Service components.
Amyx Geographic Information System (GIS) developers are building a Common Operating Picture (COP) through customized dashboards for critical COVID-19 response activities including embedded data from the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Department of Transportation (DOT), Johns Hopkins, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and governmental agencies.
Amyx is also actively helping the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) respond to urgent requests for ventilators and associated accessory items. Working with the private sector, DoD and other federal agencies, Amyx has configured DLA web applications and data extracts to provide improved visibility into sources of supply and pricing data for ordering urgently needed medical assets. These assets include medical, surgical and pharmaceutical supplies that are being used by the U.S. Navy Hospital Ships Mercy and Comfort.
In support of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and Military Health System (MHS), Amyx is providing expedited acquisition support to executing contracts and procurements to enable DoD’s COVID-19 response operations. The Amyx Support Agreements Team assisted in the creation of Memorandums of Agreement with academic and DoD partners for the development and operation of forecasting models for producing accurate weekly, probabilistic forecasts of COVID-19 for Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs).
Additionally, Amyx has helped to rapidly develop and coordinate multi-million dollar financial agreements with U.S. Government health organizations to store, manage, maintain and transport medical and surgical supplies and related Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in support of the DoD Pandemic Influenza Stockpile Program.
“The entire Amyx team is committed to partnering with federal, civilian and defense agencies as we grapple with this crisis. I’m proud of each Amyx employee and their hard work and tremendous dedication,” said Satya Akula, President and CEO of Amyx, Inc. He continued by saying, “these are just a few instances of the support that we are delivering – we’re also providing cybersecurity and information services, data analytics and decision support tools, as well as technical and professional services subject matter experts in a coordinated effort to respond to and manage the impacts of the pandemic.”

Amyx is proud to continue our tradition of support to the New Hope Housing organization’s Adopt-a-Family Program. Amyx employees contributed gift cards directly to New Hope Housing to provide to it’s guests and residents, making a safe and impactful difference during the holidays to help homeless residents and families.
The Adopt-a-Family program supports those families in the program to receive gifts during the holiday season. Due to the pandemic, this program was changed to a gift card drive. We are happy to have partnered with New Hope Housing in giving back to the community by bringing a little joy to these during the Holiday Season.

Amyx Wins 30th Defense Logistics Agency JETS Task Order
https://amyx.com/2020/12/18/amyx-wins-30th-defense-logistics-agency-jets-task-order/
Amyx, Inc. continued its success on the DLA JETS IDIQ after being recently awarded five additional Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Task Orders. These include: the DLA Cybersecurity Operational Technology & Information Systems Support, DLA Enterprise Vulnerability Management Program Support Services, Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) – Wholesale DoD/VA Data Synchronization Program, DMLSS Application Development and Sustainment contracts, and the Hazardous Materials Management System (HMMS) Program Management Office contracts.
William Schaefer, President and CEO of Amyx, Inc., said, “I’m especially proud of our cybersecurity and software development staff who have supported DLA for the past two decades. These contract wins are a testament to the critical role they serve in protecting DLA’s infrastructure and in supporting DLA’s logistics support mission. The DLA HMMS PMO contract also marks Amyx’s 30th task order awarded under the DLA J6 Enterprise Technology Services (JETS) IDIQ.”
Amyx will expand its support for DLA Operational Technology (OT) under the DLA Cybersecurity Operational Technology & Information Systems Support contract by providing engineering and cybersecurity support for DLA’s OT and Facility Related Control System environments. The team will provide full lifecycle support for OT including identification and registration of DLA’s FRCS, assessment and validation of applicable IT security controls, monitoring implementation of security guidance, and helping resolve identified deficiencies. Under NIST and DOD policy, Amyx will work closely with the Agency to help safeguard and strengthen OT worldwide.
Under the second award, Amyx’s Enterprise Vulnerability Management team will provide software assurance services to include web application scanning, testing, vulnerability reporting, and continuous monitoring. Amyx also provides DLA enterprise program support through validation, assessment, implementation, integration, configuration and assistance to the Government in the implementation of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software to meet DoD security requirements.
The third and fourth contracts expand Amyx’s support for DoD’s medical logistics supply chain and in developing software applications to enhance material visibility. The primary purpose of Amyx’s support for the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support - Wholesale (DMLSS-W) DoD/Veterans Affairs (VA) Data Synchronization Program is to sustain the Product Data Bank (PDB) and Medical Master Catalog (MMC) data feeds for medical/surgical items. This data made available through coordination between DLA and VA is used to improve medical decision-making best practices. Under the DMLSS Application Development and Sustainment contract, the company will continue providing application development, sustainment, cybersecurity, and business process reengineering to ensure the most up-to-date catalog information and readiness planning data is provided across the DoD.
The fifth contract, Hazardous Materials Management System PMO, will include providing cybersecurity, training, and technical assistance for the management of the HMMS program for all of DoD and Federal Government “using” facilities.
“For the past 20 years, Amyx’s motto has been Your Trusted Partner for Strategic Results and our employees at DLA continue to earn this high level of trust every day. We consider it an honor to support DLA in areas that are more important today than ever; ensuring the medical supply chain is enabled through enhanced IT capabilities and using the latest cybersecurity tools and practices to safeguard DLA’s infrastructure,” said Mr. Schaefer.
