Your injury may be worse than you understand. Your right to recovery for damages may be greater than you know. Without legal counsel, you probably will not have the information needed to evaluate your legal rights.

Commercial divers perform vital work often far below the water’s surface, including installation, repair, inspection, and removal of various equipment and structures. Unfortunately, many commercial divers are faced with an unreasonably high risk of serious physical harm or death on the job. Divers are often subjected to harsh and dangerous conditions in the performance of their work and face occupational safety and health hazards including decompression sickness, drowning, hypothermia, physical injury, and various respiratory and circulatory risks. Many of these risks are preventable but exist due to a variety of factors including inadequate training and supervision, exhaustion, negligent work practices, defective or improper equipment, and ineffective rescue operations. https://www.boatlaw.com/who-we-represent/commercial-divers/ BOATLAW.COM Commercial Diver Lawyer Serving Washington, Oregon, California, Alaska

Safety training and proper equipment, when employed, can help minimize the occurrence of an accident, but human error, dangerous ship conditions, and the unpredictability of Mother Nature can quickly lead to a serious accident. Pursuing the compensation, you or your loved one need does not have to add to your already heavy burden. Injured maritime workers and the immediate family members of those who perish at sea can pursue legal recourse under the Jones Act, the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, the Death on the High Seas Act, and general maritime law. Who to file your claim against and where depends greatly on the specific circumstances and the applicable law. https://www.boatlaw.com/personal-injury-claims/compensation/
Due to the fast spread of the potentially lethal virus, many workers onboard ships are concerned for their health. If you are a crew member who has been diagnosed with the virus, consult with an experienced maritime lawyer as soon as possible. During this time, it is important that everyone is careful so that they reduce the chance of transmitting and/or contracting COVID-19. When we are not careful or act irresponsibly, we can be negligent and hurt an individual in the process. When an individual is diagnosed with COVID-19, it is crucial for all onboard to be careful and take precautions; having medical procedures in place is vital to minimize the spread of the disease. When a captain, crew member, passenger, or even the cruise ship company does not follow proper guidance and protocol, all onboard are at risk of infection. #coronavirus #crewmembers #seamen #maritimeattorney https://www.boatlaw.com/personal-injury-claims/coronavirus-on-cruise-ship/ BOATLAW.COM www.boatlaw.com
