Today we had a crew of 4 working at this beautiful home in Highland Heights. Our customer wanted to go from an 80% efficiency furnace to a 95% high efficiency furnace and replace their AC. There’s some extra steps to this install so we sent a couple extra guys to make sure the job was done by 4pm. Our customer was very happy with the service and we were able to make sure everything was perfect before we left.

With technology installed in over 200,000 applications, iWave-R is the world’s first self-cleaning, no maintenance needlepoint bi-polar ionization generator designed specifically for treating air in residential duct A/C systems. As the air flows past the iWave-R, positive and negative ions actively purify the supply air, killing mold, bacteria and viruses in the coil and living space. The ionization process also reduces allergens, smoke and static electricity, as well as controlling odors (cooking, pet, VOCs) and other particles (no more sunbeams) in the air without creating ozone or any harmful byproducts.

One of our recent jobs was a wall furnace for a garage. Our customer wanted a solution to keep his garage warm in the winter so he could work in his cars and also so he could have company over without having to go inside his house. He was concerned with COVID-19 and he thought he could socially distance better in his garage when company came over. We used a Williams direct vent wall furnace to provide plenty of heat for the garage. We also added the I Wave R to his home furnace to kill all viruses in his home. Our customer is now ready for winter!

Today we had a warranty install on a furnace heat exchanger. It’s an essential part of the furnace and usually has the longest warranty compared to the other components of the furnace. Below is a description of what it is and how it works. Since we register all warranties for our customers we are able to fix issues like this for a minimal labor cost.
Every furnace contains a heat exchanger. It’s an essential part of the heating process. To create heat, your furnace combusts fuel in a sealed chamber. This combustion process generates heat energy from the fuel source. This is one of the things that makes gas furnaces different from electric ones, which generate heat through electric coils.
The mixture of gas and combustion fumes (known as “flue gases“) isn’t safe to breathe. That’s where the exchanger comes in.
Essentially, the exchanger is a thin metal shield standing between the combustion chamber and the blower, which distributes heated air from the furnace through air ducts into the living spaces of your home. As the combustion chamber heats the exchanger, air is blown across its surface on the other side, rapidly heating the breathable air. This air is then sent through your home’s ductwork to the living spaces of your home.
Ever since 1960, 60% of America's economic growth can be attributed to air conditioning in the South and West where it has become possible to live and work year-long in comfortable conditions.

When AC systems were first introduced, the output settings were measured in “Ice Power” – in other words, how many blocks of ice it would take to produce the same amount of cooling power. Now we call them AC units

How To Avoid Heating Emergencies This Cold Season - Anderson Heating & Cooling
Window coverings can have a big effect on your home’s heating or cooling load. In cooler months, harness the sun’s free warmth by keeping curtains, blinds, or drapes open on south-facing windows during the day to allow sunlight in.
