Congratulations again to the recipients of WIN’s 2020 Most Influential Women (MIW) award!
Earlier this year, WIN announced this year’s winners: Kristle Bollans, Director of Replacement Accounts at the Hertz Corporation; Sandee Lindorfer, Director with Allstate Insurance; and Christy Jones, owner of R Jones Collision 1 in Des Moines, IA.
Although we were not able to present this prestigious award to the MIWs in person, we recognize their achievements in the collision repair industry and look forward to celebrating their accomplishments in person.
The nomination process for the 2021 MIW Awards begins in October.

Have you driven through the Urban Loop at night? A searchlight beams into the sky commemorating the opening of the new interchanges.
The Flyover bridge in the NW corner of Des Moines metro opened for traffic this past Friday. This was a much needed bridge. It should help traffic flow much better in this part of the metro.

Today, two additional interchanges opened to traffic in the Urban Loop. After decades of planning, the half-diamond interchange at Meredith Drive and the Iowa Highway 141 flyover opened. Here's a short video about how it all came together.

Job Description
Anderson Properties is currently seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our Commercial Construction Team. You will collaborate with the Project Manager and your team to complete tenant improvement and property management projects. You will be expected to take initiative and work efficiently on your own AS WELL AS work effectively alongside your fellow team members in order to complete tasks that meet or exceed Anderson Properties standards. Qualified candidates will be asked to demonstrate their abilities which should include demo, framing, sheetrock, sheetrock finishing, painting, staining door slabs, setting cabinets, general millwork, hanging doors, installing counter tops, LVT flooring and carpeting, and installation and replacement of exterior steel doors and hardware. A 30-day trial period will be utilized to confirm that skills meet company expectations and standards and you will need to pass a full background check.
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS:
Fully valid Driver’s License, no work permits
Reliable transportation
Excellent communication skills with Management, Project Manager, Construction Team, Subcontractors, Office Staff, and Tenants
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Anderson Properties offers 401K, Health, Dental, Vision and Life insurance and PTO
Hours are M-F 8am-4:30pm with overtime available when approved because of project demand. This is a full time, year-round position

Mokosak Advisory Group raises more than $14,000 for local food banks

Urbandale financial coaching firm Mokosak Advisory Group LLC raised $14,165 during a virtual food drive from Nov. 20 to Dec. 23, to benefit the Iowa Food Bank and other local food banks. Mokosak Advisory Group announced its intent to match funds donated by clients and staff up to $5,000; participants donated a total of $9,165 to the drive. The Food Bank of Iowa is able to provide four full meals for every $1 donated, Mokosak Advisory Group said in a statement.
