Fire season continues- here's an update.....
According to Wikipedia- As of October 2, 2020, a total of 8,155 fires have burned 4,142,656 acres (1,676,473 hectares),[2] more than 4% of the state's roughly 100 million acres of land, making 2020 the largest wildfire season recorded in California's modern history, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
A lot of people will lose their insurance carrier as carriers pull off the market due to paying out more than anticipated in fire related losses. We also anticipate the carriers left insuring fire zones to increase their prices heavily to continue doing business. Premium increases will come from carriers trying to re-coop fire, water, riot and other loss related payouts from 2020 in 2021's renewals.
