Dr. Andreas Boker is a Board certified dermatologist with subspecialty training in dermatologic surgery and cutaneous oncology. He completed his general surgery internship at Tufts Medical Center followed by a clinical fellowship in dermatology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital of Harvard Medical School. He then completed his dermatology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where he was elected chief resident for his senior year. He subsequently completed a fellowship in procedural dermatology at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) under the instruction of Drs. Roy Grekin and Richard Glogau. During his fellowship he acquiring advanced training in Mohs micrographic surgery, reconstructive surgery, liposuction, chemical peels, laser surgery and in the cosmetic use of filler materials.
Dr. Boker is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology (ABD), and a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS). He is also an assistant professor at NYU.
Dr. Boker has a special interest in clinical research and has been the winner of numerous grants including the 2009 Women’s Dermatologic Society Research Grant and the 2010 American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Cutting Edge Research Grant. He served as the Director of Clinical Research for internationally renowned cosmetic dermatologist Fredric Brandt in Miami, where he pioneered new uses for Botox and conducted some of the pivotal clinical trials that led to the FDA-approval of various filler materials such as Restylane and Sculptra. He has authored over 20 peer-reviewed scientific papers and book chapters and has been an invited speaker at national as well as international conferences.
