You may have noticed that our popular mint mocha recently had a name change! You can now ask for the Andy's Mint Mocha to get the same delicious drink!
We named this drink the Duke of York almost 9 years ago as a play on the York Peppermint Patty and the old British nursery rhyme - The Grand Old Duke of York.
With the recent connections between the actual Duke of York, Jeffrey Epstein and child sex trafficking, it became essential for us to make a change.
Our creative staff came up with the new name that incorporates the Andee's mint and our neighbor, Andy's Home Cafe, who has been a staple in the Heights neighborhood since 1977.
Same delicious drink. Much better name.

I would not read this if I were you because it is a long & true Christmas story but I must say it was the best Christmas story that ever happened to me… Well at least this year!
Justin and I had spent the afternoon at Scroggins Elementary with some HPD Police Dept. Officers giving out presents to children there for an hour or so.
After that event we were headed to Andys Café to pick up a toy collection box… We were traveling down I - 10 in the low-rider when we got the flashing lights behind us of a police car. Justin kept saying “why are they stopping us, but why are they stopping us!” Being raised in the barrio myself I felt a little uneasy… You never get over that.
When I nervously looked over my shoulder to look at the police officer, I couldn’t believe what I was looking at! I had to focus on the name tag to be sure . It was our Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo with a giant smile on his face! He just stopped us to say hello and wish us a FELIZ NAVIDAD !!
