Andy’s Pool Service was founded in 1987 in Atlanta by three young entrepreneurs, Andy, Johnny and Derek with the assistance of Ann, our current Office Manager. As all of them were native Atlantans, they began servicing pools in Buckhead and built a base of 100 customers in the first year. The company continued to grow and ownership changed between the three of them, but Andy’s continued to maintain a reputation of exceptional customer service. In 1997, Dwayne Hamrick, another native Atlantan purchased the business. He decided to keep the name of Andy’s Pool Service, because of the excellent reputation the company had and the good will it had with the customers. It didn’t hurt that he is a diehard Andy Griffith fan. His first objective after purchasing the business was to create an visible image that matched the service reputation that already existed. By creating a logo, lettering all the vehicles, requiring standard uniforms, and improving marketing materials, Andy’s now has the look to complete the image he desired. He has expanded the service area to East Cobb and North Fulton. Computerized scheduling, GPS and improved communication technology has now allowed the company to grow to fleet of 7 vehicles, 5 pool technicians and an full service repair department. Andy’s is now one of the leading service companies in North Atlanta and our reputation speaks for itself. The largest percentage of the new customer leads has and still continues to come from the referrals from our current customer. That in itself speaks for the quality of service we provide and the referral of a friend is the highest compliment a customer can pay. Exceptional service has gotten us here and will get us where we need to be in the future.
