The nurses and staff on University Hospital’s Sky 10 are being honored at the Centro Cultural Aztlan gallery in a virtual exhibit. "SKY 10: The Nurses and Healthcare Workers of University Hospital" features more than 50 sketches of the healthcare workers who selflessly cared for many of our COVID-19 patients. The artist, Mario Garza, created the portraits from mobile phone photos snapped by his wife, Zahra Garza the nursing executive on Sky 10. The artist says he wanted to thank them for their dedication.

Every year our Child Life team organizes a Halloween parade for our pediatric patients. We couldn’t do our normal parade due to COVID-19, but we still wanted our youngest patients to celebrate with some spooky fun. So we brought it to them! Patients stayed in their rooms while the parade safely passed by right outside their doors. Thank you to everyone who dressed up and helped make this event a success!
