About

Welcome to Animal Health Services! Our Atwater Animal Hospital Facility

Animal Health Services is pleased to have to the opportunity to know you and your pets. We know our clients and patients are the heart of our practice and the reason we are here. We pledge that we will always do our very best to serve you and provide your animals and companions with the care they deserve.

In 1998, our Animal Hospital was built from the ground up to suit the needs of a veterinary facility. It was laid out for the convenience of our clients and for the care of our animals.

We have an ample and comfortable reception and waiting area in the front, which also houses our retail area for easy pick-up of pet products and supplies.

For the medical needs of the pets we have:

• Two large exam rooms
• A multi-purpose treatment room, this contains our lab, the dental treatment area, an additional exam table and kennel facilities for hospitalized pets.
• An operating room with a heated surgery table and anesthesia equipment.
• An x-ray room with the table-top x-ray unit and development equipment.

When animals are sick it is vital to take measures to prevent the potential spread of germs or exposure to infectious materials and diseases. This can be very difficult in poorly planned or overly crowded spaces. We took great care in the design of our facility to ensure that your pet would be protected against exposure to contagious diseases or unhealthy elements.

Aside from maintaining a high level of cleanliness and sanitation, we provide multiple cages and isolation areas to keep ill pets, or pets with unknown health histories, well separated from other pets. We even have facilities for hospitalizing smaller farm animals, such as sheep and calves.

A bathing area for your pet's cleanliness and skin care.

We also do boarding for dogs, cats and small pocket pets.

In regards to the comments of the safety of Seresto Flea and Tick collars, please read the following statement from the manufacture. Always buy from a veterinarian office or authorized retailor and keep the tin and receipt. Unfortunately, some pets may experience a reaction like any other medication but as per the extensive studies, 0.03% of pets may experience adverse reactions. If you have any questions, please contact our office at 814-299-7189. Belacoop Animal Hospital of North Park March 4 at 12:32 AM · Recently, stories have come to light concerning the safety of Seresto collars. After considering the impact of these stories and recognizing the alarm they may cause, we followed up with the manufacturer (Elanco) directly. Given all the facts, research, and data Elanco has on Seresto collars, we still consider them to be a safe and effective option when they are purchased through an authorized animal hospital or retailer. Here are a few facts that Elanco has shared: • “There is no established link between death and exposure to the active ingredients contained in Seresto” • “Since its initial approval in 2012, more than 25 million Seresto collars have protected dogs and cats in the U.S. from fleas, ticks and the resulting tick-borne illnesses that can impact their quality of life” • “As a globally marketed product, more than 80 regulatory authorities around the world, including the US EPA, rigorously reviewed the safety data collected over the course of Seresto’s development prior to registration and/or approval, as appropriate. The safety and efficacy of Seresto are continuously monitored and scrutinized by global regulatory bodies as well as via internal processes” • “All adverse events, product related or not, are collected, evaluated and reported. It is critically important to understand that a report is not an indication of cause” • “Since its approval, the reporting rate for all incidents related to Seresto is less than 0.3% in the U.S. The majority of these incidents relate to non-serious effects such as temporary hair loss and mild skin irritation around the application site. It is important to make sure the collar is not fitted too tightly around an animal’s neck. We recommend the collar be snug while still being able to fit 2 to 3 fingers under it” • “It is important that consumers purchase collars from an authorized clinic or retailer to ensure the authenticity and integrity of the products they are buying” In addition, we have attached the official Statement of Safety that Elanco released to consumers earlier today. More information regarding Seresto collars can be found at https://www.petbasics.com/our-products/seresto/. Thank you, Your BelaCoop Care Team
