She is currently studying at the Tidewater Community College technicians program. She has always had a love for animals of all shapes and sizes and knew she would want to work with them. Kimberly went to school to be a veterinarian assistant. During her time there her professors were working on starting a new Tech program in Virginia, and Kimberly knew she wanted to continue her education with the same professors she had already learned so much from. The class she is most looking forward to taking is the exotics class!
Outside of school and work, her interest are anything involving nature! She says nothing is better then winding down after a long day by sitting outside and just watching the wind blow.

Hello! My name is Dr. Shaila Crumpton. I recently graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed my clinical year at Purdue University. I am from Chester, VA and attended Lynchburg College for undergrad (go Hornets!). I became a veterinarian to not only help your beautiful fur baby live their healthiest lives, but also to build a connection with you! When I am not at work, I share my life with my adorable kitty, Coconut. this is Retired MWD Mega, our receptionist Jessica’s military patrol explosive detector dog. Mega served for 10 years in the United States Air Force. Two and half of those years were alongside Jessica. Mega was a hard worker for our country and we couldn’t be more proud of everything she has done for our country. During her retired years she enjoys going for long walks, swimming and playing fetch with her favorite Kong. We would also like to recognize Jessica for her 6 and a half years serving in the USAF.

Let's talk about nail grinding. 🙃 Is there a difference between nail trimming and nail grinding? The huge answer is YES! Grinding your dogs nails helps get them shorter than trimming alone, and also smoothes them over so they aren't so sharp! In the photos, the paws on the left have been just trimmed, and the paws on the right have been trimmed AND ground. Not only are the filed nails more visually pleasing because they're shorter, but they also feel much nicer if your pup jumps up to greet you. Nail trimming is included in all of our grooming services and nail grinding can be added on for $10!
