While Michael is still dealing with some effects from his treatment, he says he feels "lucky I’m alive, lucky I’m here, and lucky I’m cancer-free.” He's dedicating himself to helping others in the LGBTQ+ community through their own cancer journeys. He's also a big advocate for the MSK Patient and Caregiver Support Program and is still in touch with his mentor from the program. Michael says, “My life is now a new adventure every day. My mind is much more open to opportunities than ever before, and I never forget that life is worth fighting for at all costs.”
