On the last Feel Good Friday of Colorectal Cancer Month, meet Michael, a colorectal cancer survivor. He first shared his story with us last year in Bridges, our newsletter for survivors, which you can read here: https://bit.ly/3rpjzme.
While Michael is still dealing with some effects from his treatment, he says he feels "lucky I’m alive, lucky I’m here, and lucky I’m cancer-free.” He's dedicating himself to helping others in the LGBTQ+ community through their own cancer journeys. He's also a big advocate for the MSK Patient and Caregiver Support Program and is still in touch with his mentor from the program.
Michael says, “My life is now a new adventure every day. My mind is much more open to opportunities than ever before, and I never forget that life is worth fighting for at all costs.”
