In my free time I love to forage. I grew up foraging wild spinach, grape leaves, wild rose petals, mussels, crabs, and fish. Thank you Dad for teaching me the joy of harvesting fresh, wild food. We lived in the San Francisco Bay Area and were blessed with natural beauty all around us. These are Hen of the Woods, choice edible.
If you’re bored with the same old vegetables, try okra . Raw or cooked is packed with nutrients. Pick when they’re small.
