Dr. Anthony Provenzano is a practicing Medical Oncologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Westchester located in Bronxville, NY. He received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College and has been in practice for 36 years. Some of Dr. Provenzano’s areas of interest are, but not limited to lung cancer, breast cancer, genitourinary cancer, GI malignancy, lymphoma, esophageal cancer, head and neck malignancy and melanoma (see below). Dr Provenzano is published in various peer reviewed journals in oncology such as the Journal of Oncology Practice and the Journal of Clinical Oncology (JOCO). In the latter he is one of the authors and committee members for the ASCO guidelines for Laryngeal Preservation of Head and Neck Cancer and Malignant Melanoma which were recently published in JOCO. He has lectured on and has a special interest in the toxicity of immunotherapy treatment of malignancy. He also has published articles in ASCO Connection. He is a member of ASCO's (American Society of Clinical Oncology) clinical guideline committee. He is on the Advisory Guideline Group to the Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee for ASCO.
Dr Provenzano is board certified in Medical Oncology and is up to date in MOC (maintenance of certification). In addition he has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and has interests in applications of mathematics and physics to oncology diagnostics and treatment.
In addition to what is previously listed he has a special interest in cancer genetics, immunotherapy and basic science applications for cancer diagnostics and treatment.
Dr. Provenzano is also the chairman of the Cancer Committee at New York Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital and has assisted in attaining and maintaining accreditation of our Cancer Program. Other awards and recognitions are:
