Dr. Antonio Giordano is an assistant professor of oncology at the Medical University of South Carolina. He trained at the University of Naples Federico II in Italy, where he received his medical degree and completed postgraduate specialization training in medical oncology. He completed internal medicine residency training at MUSC., The passion for the research together with the one for taking care of cancer patients became the objective of Dr. Giordano’s medical career. This was the driver behind his pursuit of undertaking a Ph.D. program in medical oncology and immunology at the Second University of Naples and at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. During the four years spent as faculty at MD Anderson, he consolidated his solid foundation in breast clinical oncology, transitional and basic science research, and has made tremendous contributions to the field of breast cancer biology. Dr. Giordano takes care of adult patients with breast cancer.
