I'm having a "slight" pull when driving down the road....Stay safe!
Even the mice were staying home. This was out of a 2004 F150, that we worked on today.

Due to this event, in addition to sanitizing/cleaning throughout the day, other safety procedures have been put in place. Gloves, and/or disposable steering wheel covers are being used by our technicians. Customers keys are being wiped down, and steering wheel covers are discarded once the vehicle is completed. We will continue to take any measures to ensure the health and safety of our customers and staff. We do take payments over the phone, and also have a key drop box for those that don't feel comfortable coming into the office. You can use the drop box during or after business hours. As always, we can also work out any special arrangements like rides, vehicle pickup, and drop offs that are needed. Apitz Garage an independent automotive shop since 1968 located in Lino Lakes, is currently looking for a full time light/medium duty truck technician. We are a non-commission shop that pays an hourly wage. We work on all makes and models of cars, trucks and trailers. Hourly wage ranges from $20-$40 per hour based on experience. Business hours are Monday-Friday 6:30am-8pm, and we do not work on the weekends. We offer 401K, and paid vacations, and have a few different options for schedules.
Looking for light truck and medium duty truck technician.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose cause of malfunction and preform repair.
- Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance on vehicles
- Communicate with service writer and parts department
- Keep work area clean
Automotive Requirements
- Have at least 3 years of mechanical experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have own tools (shop does have and provides Snap-On scanners for use)
Compensation
- Hourly wage based on skill level and certifications (example if you have a DOT certification or have diesel experience) $20-$40 per hour
- Monday-Friday work week (no weekends)
- Paid time off
- 401K

Light/Medium Duty Truck Technician
The catalytic converter thieves are out about. We had two vehicles come in this week, where someone stole, and tried to steal, the catalytic converts off of vehicles. The ones they got were off of a 2018 Ram 2500, and one they tried to get, was off of a 2017 GMC 2500. They even cut into the front driveshaft on the GMC and damaged that as well. So be on the lookout, and park inside if you can.
