What does more or less look like? The red and blue rods help answer those questions. The child first sequences the rods from shortest to longest and later counts the segments of each rod and matches a numeral tablet to the quantity represented by the length of the rod.

Learning to tell time can be challenging! We work with our students by providing multi-sensory materials and card games to help children move through a sequence of learning activities such as telling time by the hour, by half hour, and finally, telling time to the minute.

Through topography activities, children learn the names and read a brief description of each of the main types of land forms on earth: lake, island, gulf, peninsula, bay, and cape.
