𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞:
On June 13, 2019, Officer Blake Herbert was dispatched to an address for the report of a disturbance involving a weapon. The female victim informed dispatch that she felt unsafe and had been threatened with a gun. She was home with her 3-year-old son. Officer Herbert, having concern for the female and the child, approached the house prior to any backup arriving. Despite not knowing the location of the male with the gun, he was able to make contact with the female through a window and establish communication with her. Officer Herbert was able to extract the female and her child through the window getting her to safety. His quick actions undoubtedly prevented the situation becoming more tragic.
Always good to read positive posts. The world and local news has become so negative it’s hard to watch. That is why when I read something positive that you can believe is the truth it’s worth sharing.

Our soldiers quietly perform their duties, serving a vital role to our community. They have assisted at the COVID-19 testing sites and have provided election support. On behalf of the Appleton Police Department we thank you!
We spoke with the City Clerk and she said, "The National Guard has been crucial in safely and effectively administering elections during COVID-19. They bring an enthusiasm and willingness to serve at the polling places during this challenging time in election administration. April would not have run as smoothly as it did without them, and many returned to assist us this week- retaining everything they learned in April. Our sincerest appreciation for all of their help with elections!"

This year’s snow removal equipment showed up just in time thanks to Jim at EIS Implements. I have always been known for the cleanest lot and that you have access 24/7 even during a blizzard. The Grand Chute Police Department is proud to announce two new members to our blue family, Officer Luke Maher #7703 and Officer Ben Watson #7732. Both Officer Maher and Officer Watson will finish up orientation and then transition to our field training program.
