In the spirit of National Veterans & Military Families Month, our community was proud to honor our veterans for their service. We celebrated with a special lunch, and our resident and combat veteran, Ben, led us with a toast. Each veteran was given a rose and handwritten card thanking them for their service and sacrifices. We also hosted a virtual ceremony with Archer Law Firm and each veteran was honored with a certificate, a flag pinning, and the unveiling of our new Wall of Heroes. Jack Gerber has seen firsthand how difficult this year has been for so many seniors. He wanted a way to give back this holiday season and he immediately thought of our residents at Arbor Terrace. While Jack has not been able to visit his Grandfather as much due to Covid-19, he wanted to help bring a smile to his face and all of our residents. He got together with his family to provide a gift bag for every resident in our community. Selfless acts like this remind us how special the holiday season is. What Could You Do With A Dollar? At Arbor Terrace Mount Laurel we supported "Good Council Homes." Good Counsel is a nationally recognized nonprofit leader and innovator in creating supportive residential care and community-based services for homeless, expectant, and new mothers and their children in the context of the Catholic social tradition. Pregnant and expectant mothers, with or without other born children, including mothers with mental health or addiction challenges, from any location, are able to receive help in a Good Counsel home. With the generous donations we received from staff and the monies from the Dollar Campaign the Residents were able to put together 8 baskets for 8 mothers and 8 children filled with everything on their "Wish List". Arbor Terrace Mount Laurel celebrated "Holiday's Around the World" this week! We traveled to China and enjoyed a Chinese Lunch followed by Chinese Holiday Trivia and a "Good Times, Good Fortune Cocktail Cart, filled with Chinese Cookies and Fortune Cookies. Day 2 we traveled to Mexico & enjoyed a Mexican Lunch, followed by an Ojo De Dios Craft, then the famous Mexican Loteria Game & closed the afternoon with a Mexican Snack Cart filled with Churros! Day 3 we traveled to Italy where we enjoyed an Italian Lunch, followed by a creative afternoon making our own Mosaic Art while listening to beautiful Italian music, followed by an Italian snack Cart filled with home made Italian Rainbow Cookies made by our Pastry Chef Maria! Everyone had so much fun!

Our community took a history making step this past weekend. We were able to vaccinate our residents, staff, and essential caregivers against the COVID-19 virus. We did it to protect ourselves, our families, and each other. We are looking forward to a brighter and safer 2021!

We closed our ceremony with the ringing of 4 bells in honor of the 400,000 American lives lost. @Arbor Terrace of Mt. Laurel had a very active afternoon playing balloon toss while listening to some classic hits from the 50's!

Excitement was in the air yesterday! Our residents had an awesome time preparing for Sunday's big game by making pom-poms to root on their team. While the game was taking place, our staff had the tailgate cart doing rounds with pretzels, beer, and coffee. We can't wait for next year's game!

Arbor Terrace Mount Laurel we had the pleasure of having dancers from Kotelnicki School of Irish Dance come and perform for us! The weather didn’t stop them from dancing and showing our residents a good time! We learned how their dresses come from Ireland and are specially made for each dancer. We had such a great time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day last week with boozy shamrock shakes made to order and delicious festive cupcakes! A big thank you to our dining team!
