Fall is the time for comfort food. Today in our Evergreen neighborhood at Asheville, Yvonne made apple butter. 😋 The aroma of cinnamon, apples, and nutmeg filled the room as everyone waited patiently for a sample. We shared different recipes on how to make it. It brought back memories for some that use to make their own apple butter for their families. We enjoyed warm buttered toast and apple butter for an afternoon snack. It was delicious!🍎

"Happy National Pumpkin Day"! Our Evergreen residents celebrated all day. We first discussed the history of pumpkins, then we watched different ways to decorate them. For our afternoon snack Yvonne made pumpkin 🎃 cheesecake cups. Everyone enjoyed the cooking demonstration and then enjoyed their snack.
In crafts today our Evergreen neighborhood did "Fall Leaves Dot Painting ." Everyone painted their leaves in beautiful fall colors using Q-tips. 🍂🍁

COVID-19 Vaccine Day Round 2 was a huge success! Some residents and staff received their 2nd dose yesterday while others received their 1st. @Arbor Terrace of Ashville is so proud of our staff and residents for making this day so successful for all. We celebrated with delicious lavender and honey cupcakes with buttercream icing. We look forward to keeping up the fight against the pandemic one day at a time! #ArborStrong
