Dear Friends, Family, and Community Partners,
During a press conference last week, Governor Abbott announced enhancements to the existing visitation policy for long-term care facilities. It’s assumed that these enhancements will take place on September 24th, pending any additional directives that we receive from the governor’s office or HHSC.
You can find Governor Abbott’s announcement here: http://bit.ly/3kPzK9B.
We are working on our own systems and processes to comply with Governor Abbott’s announcements, and we hope to have more information for you soon. Please do not come on September 24th without prior approval as scheduling, screening, and verification of COVID-19 testing is necessary prior to being allowed into the facility.
Needless to say, we are so excited that our residents may soon be able to hug their family members again. We know that being able to see family is some of the best medicine for our residents, and we want that to happen as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience and for helping to keep our residents safe.

We had so much fun showering our amazing therapy team with love during National Rehab Week! Each and every one of them strive to make sure our residents get the best outcomes and we couldn’t be more thankful to have them as part of our APOG family. 💜 We know that they will always be there for our residents!

Staff and residents of Arden Place of Grapevine are so excited for new admissions! Who’s next?!💜
Mr. Blank admitted to Arden Place of Grapevine following an acute hospitalization for a neck injury after suffering a motor vehicle accident. The rehab team evaluated him to develop a treatment plan to build strength, improve balance, safety awareness, ambulation as well as reduce his fall risk. Due to his hard work in therapy, he was able to improve his functional abilities from dependent for ADLs and moderate assistance for mobility to an independent level! Upon discharge from rehab services, Mr. Blank is most excited for his ability to his participate more fully in his activities and hobbies.
Attention friends and community partners: We are seeking candy donations for our Halloween festivities.
Everything must be factory sealed so we can easily sanitize it before bringing it in. The cutoff date for donations is Thursday, October 29th.
Thank you!
We’re showing love to our dietary staff this week for National Healthcare Food Service Week! They work hard to make sure our residents, staff and visitors always have a good meal. They really do put love on every plate!

Our sweet residents have a big sweet tooth around here, so we made chocolate dipped marshmallow pops covered in sprinkles of their choice! Needless to say it was a big hit judging by the smiles and quickly disappearing marshmallows. 💜
Our wonderful residents didn’t get the chance to go out to a pumpkin patch this year so we brought a pumpkin patch to them! They had so much fun picking out their pumpkins and are very excited to decorate them soon!
