During a press conference last week, Governor Abbott announced enhancements to the existing visitation policy for long-term care facilities. It’s assumed that these enhancements will take place on September 24th, pending any additional directives that we receive from the governor’s office or HHSC.

We are working on our own systems and processes to comply with Governor Abbott’s announcements, and we hope to have more information for you soon. Please do not come on September 24th without prior approval as scheduling, screening, and verification of COVID-19 testing is necessary prior to being allowed into the facility.
Needless to say, we are so excited that our residents may soon be able to hug their family members again. We know that being able to see family is some of the best medicine for our residents, and we want that to happen as soon as possible.

To our family members and community partners:
You may have questions about the recently announced ‘phase 1’ visitation requirements for nursing homes. Please rest assured that we are doing everything we can within clinical and medical standards of care to help residents and families journey toward visitation.
As you know, we are responsible for the health and well-being of all those under our roof, both residents and employees, and this is not a responsibility we take lightly. While we still have yet to fully understand COVID-19, one thing is certain, nursing homes are a key battleground in the fight against the pandemic. We know these times are unprecedented and the current circumstances are difficult, but we will get through this together.
We want you to know that we will continue to follow local, state, federal, and CDC guidelines for infection control and prevention. We will also continue to go above and beyond what is considered necessary to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Our community, families, and key partners trust us with the most vulnerable residents in our society, and we consider their health and safety our highest priority.

Ninety eight thousand, five hundred and fifty. 98,550. This is the number of plates Arden Place of Richland Hills’ phenomenal dietary team serves to our residents in a year. 98,550 times our residents are nurtured, loved, and healed through a plate of nutritious and delicious food.
If you’ve ever experienced a bite of Mrs. Gloria’s made-from-scratch chicken n’ dumplings or a piece of Mrs. Linda’s home made bread putting with hot butter rum sauce, then you know exactly what “with love” tastes like in our home.
365 days a year our dietary team serves our residents, and let’s not lie, our staff too, the most delicious food that we couldn’t find in the best restaurants.
