Due to Covid19 pandemic, we have had to scale back our hours of operation. Until further notice, we will be open from 730am-530pm Mon-Fri.
*If you feel you have a sick/injured pet and it is getting close to 5 pm - please call us ASAP so we can make arrangements to have your pet seen. We will be available IF we know you are coming.
*Please call ahead for medication and food pickup so we can have it ready for you. If you are running low on food please let us know so we can have it in stock for you.
* As we have been doing since last week, our lobby is currently closed to the public. Please call 252-726-4998 upon arrival to our hospital and we will get you checked in over the phone. A technician / assistant will come to your car to get your pet.
* We thank you for your understanding during this difficult time. WE SINCERELY APPRECIATE YOUR PATRONAGE AND HOPE TO BE ABLE TO CONTINUE TO MEET ALL YOUR PET CARE NEEDS.
Previous experience as veterinary assistant preferred but not required. Mainly kennel duties with availability to work as necessary all scheduled shifts including full days, half days , weekends and holidays .
Must have own transportation. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs , work as a team and provide excellent professional care to our animal patients and their owners.
Possibility that we will train the right candidate that proves to be reliable and driven to become a veterinary assistant .

If anyone has chickens, I built this feeder years ago and LOVE it! It’s 4 inch PVC 90s facing downward into this trashcan. I can dump two 50lb bags of feed and leave it for weeks. It is my easiest chicken tool and saves tons of feed because they can’t scratch and throw it 🥰 Works for ducks and turkeys too!

With Spring right around the corner, you may be thinking about what plants you will want to add to your flowers bed this year. But don’t fear, there are alternatives you can plant and still achieve that beautiful ornamental garden you dreamed of without risking the health of your pet! Some pet safe plants include: African Violets, Hibiscus, Snapdragons, Alyssums, Black Eyed Susan, Zinna, Impatiens, Aster, Pansies, Magnolia Bush, petunias.
