Foot Health Reminder during COVID-19 Crisis: As most people are at home more during this COVID-19 Crisis, I would like to encourage you not to go barefoot all the time, especially if you already have foot ailments, as that would more than likely make your symptoms worse. I recommend if you are going to wear sandals, try either Vionic sandals with a good orthopedic type supportive foot bed or a traditional Birkenstock sandals which also have good support for spending time on your feet at home. There are some good supportive athletic shoes as well that can be worn, but be aware even a better quality shoe generally has little to no arch support within the shoe and needs a good supportive insole to go with the shoe. Unfortunately, there really are not any good over-the-counter insoles that I can recommend wearing, as they all are pretty poor and can be expensive for what you get. We do stock a good prefabricated insole that is cost effective and works well with most shoes if you are interested. Good luck and stay safe in this very different time.
