ArmorCoat Paint Protection Coating is a spray installed vehicle clear coat bra system designed to protect painted surface’s. Ensuring protection in high wear areas of vehicles most prone to chipping and damage.
The factory paint finish on most new cars or trucks is a durable finish. Comprised of multiple layers: primer, colored base coats, and a hard baked on clear glossy topcoat. Much trial and testing have gone into ensuring your vehicle maintains its original color and appearance. But often, applied at a thin layer of only 4 to 5 mils thickness (4 to 5/1000 of an inch), these finishes are subject to chipping after short term use. These factory installed surfaces become susceptible to severe impact caused by large stones or loose gravel. Plus upon high speed impact, those surfaces covered by a hard thin clear coat have a tendency to shatter. The damage often leaves a crater exposing the primer or bare surface of the hood, bumper or body panel.
