Ideal candidates for this position will have: Responsible for all the functions of the yard and it's office. Supervise yard personnel, plan and allocate the use of material handling equipment such as forklifts, shop tools, and trucks. Direct workers engaged in keeping records of material received and used. Responsible for assigning employees to inspect incoming materials and verify the invoices. Responsible for all accounts, collections, liens and credit checks. Personally visit job sites to see new and existing customers. Interpret company policy to workers and acts as a liaison to the General Office. Enforce safety regulations and requirements to meet OSHA standards Organize contractor functions to ascertain customer satisfaction. Interpret job orders and assign duties. Coordinate on time deliveries to job sites to insure the satisfaction of the customer. Confer with other supervisors where applicable, to coordinate activities of individual departments. Occasionally perform activities of workers supervised Responsible for establishing and enforcing hourly employees’ schedules to minimize overtime. Responsible for customer service levels and supporting sales team structure with Estimating, Support, Drafting services and personnel. Assist in all areas of the Yard operation and understand their significance including Sales, Income Statement, Accounts Receivable, Dispatch, Inventory Control, Customer Service and Daily Detail reporting. Assist in conducting yard meetings. Assist Safety and AMP leaders and support company policies and vision. Learn and understand vendor products and uses. Promoting and selling them to customers while working within the Corporate sponsored programs. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises all employees at their yard. Carries out supervisory duties and responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
