One of our wellness offerings is our Total Body Composition analysis. Total Body Composition is a diagnostic tool that objectively allows you to easily measure progress towards your individual fitness and wellness goals. It graphically and quantitatively documents your status in real time-both visually and numerically. The study provides three measures of body composition, muscle mass, bone mass and fat mass. It also precisely shows fat distribution-where the fat is physically located in the body. Global wellness consists of both physical and spiritual components. This current most practical “gold standard” is measuring body fat using DEXA scan as used on TV’s “Biggest Loser” where it was used to help contestants get motivated to lose weight. Although DEXA scans are used most commonly to measure bone density, it is also very accurate for measuring the amounts of fat in the body to help monitor weight loss.
