This is a 2000 Squier Standard Precision Bass Special that upgraded this month. It's a really nice purple metallic finish (hard to capture the true color in a photo). We upgraded the pickups to Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound PJ set and added LaBella Deep Talkin' flatwound strings. It looks brand new and plays far better than a Fender MIM.
The total cost for upgrades plus a professional bass setup with full detailing was $285 (pickups $150, strings $45, labor $90). Required minor work to open up the body cavity +- 1/16" for the jazz pickup.
