Jason Harmon is the lead attorney and founder of Ascend Disability Lawyers. He has been handling disability claims for over a decade, during which time he has represented thousands of clients and attended hundreds of hearings. Before founding his own firm, Jason worked for one of the preeminent disability firms in the nation, based in Fort Worth, Texas, where he attended disability hearings all over the country. He has represented disabled individuals at all stages of the claims process, including the Appeals Council.
Jason grew up in the New Orleans area, where he attended St. Martin’s Episcopal School through 12th grade. After graduating high school, he went to college at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, where he double majored in English and Psychology. Jason then went to law school at Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi, graduating with honors. In law school, he assumed several leadership positions, including Vice President of the Moot Court Board, and competed in mock trial competitions. He graduated from law school with honors.
Mr. Harmon is a member of numerous legal organizations, including the Texas Bar Association, Louisiana Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, National Organization of Social Security Claims Representatives, and National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates. He is licensed to practice law in Louisiana and Texas, and can represent disability claimants in any state in the country.
