It’s a good idea to keep a step stool in your space to access items that are too high to reach. Keep frequently needed items closer to the front of the space for easy access and ensure you have allowed enough space to walk around, creating aisles or a “u-shaped” empty space.

Label boxes clearly and on multiple sides so that when you are looking for something in your self-storage space you can more readily access the things that you need, when you need them. Remember, heavier items on the bottom, more delicate and fragile items up higher, and items you need more often, closer to the entry.
