As of this year, I have decided to stop practicing obstetrics to focus on my gynecology practice. I have a special interest in women’s sexual health. I think it is exciting that women’s sexual health is finally being recognized as a component of women’s health! Many women have issues with sex, most commonly pain or low libido, and these have sometimes been hard for patients to talk about with their provider. Additionally, these problems aren’t always easy to solve! We still don’t have all the answers, but I’m excited women’s sexual health is being talked about more and that more options for treatment are becoming available to women! My goal as a physician is to partner with women to help them decide on a course of action that will help them achieve their goals, whether that’s increasing sex drive, managing heavy periods, decreasing sexual pain or pelvic pain, or transitioning into menopause.
