Question: When will things return to normal?
Look at your legs. Do you see swelling (edema)? Do you see discoloration or skin changes? Do you experience burning or itching? Do you see visible veins that may be painful or irritated? Chances are your legs are full of INFLAMMATION. And this can increase the severity of other conditions you may have. In addition to checking your legs, we now have the technology to measure the amount of inflammation you have. This usually shows up on our Duplex Ultrasound test as edema (swelling). Sometimes this is an early sign of venous disease. Contact the Vein Center at 561-630-6800 or online at AshtonVeinCenter.com.

Look at your legs. How do they feel? If you have edema it may be the first sign that your venous system is not functioning properly. If you have induration and inflammation it can mean phlebitis is starting to evolve. With awareness of this process, you can take action that may save your life.
