Aspen Valley Hospital's Respiratory Evaluation Center is open to see and test referral patients with COVID-19 symptoms under the following schedule:
* Evaluation of moderate to severe symptoms: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 12 noon.
* Community testing: Monday - Friday, 1 - 5 pm, with a physician referral.
* Weekend hours for community testing: 12 noon - 2 pm, with a physician referral.

Who needs a flu vaccine? Almost everyone. The CDC recommends that anyone 6 months of age and older get vaccinated, particularly people who are at high risk for flu complications. This includes people 65 years and older, young children, and people with chronic conditions such as asthma or heart disease. This year brings the threat of a “twindemic,” COVID-19 + seasonal flu, so getting your flu shot is important! Use https://vaccinefinder.org to find out where you can get vaccinated today!

Did you know we were the first in the valley to use top-of-the-line 3D tomography, a more advanced and detailed imaging technology, for our mammograms? All images are read by dedicated radiologists specially trained in interpreting breast images, which is remarkable for a hospital of our size. We are committed to providing the highest quality care for our community! If you are in your 40th year, talk to your primary care physician today about getting referred for your FREE mammogram at Aspen Valley Hospital!
Did you know about 40% of women have dense breast tissue? That percentage is even higher in the Roaring Fork Valley. For women with dense breast tissue, mammograms alone may not be enough to detect breast cancer. Aspen Valley Hospital is proud to offer comfortable and safe 3D ultrasound screening for women with dense breast tissue, pictured here.
Wondering how to find out if you have dense breast tissue? Breast density is determined by the radiologist who reads your mammogram and classifies the
density into one of four categories. Your doctor will tell you if you have dense breast tissue based on your mammogram’s classification on the density scale.

However you are celebrating, stay safe by avoiding the spooky 3 C’s (closed spaces; crowded places; and close-contact settings) and follow the 5 commitments of containment instead: maintain 6 feet of distance; wash your hands; wear a mask; stay home when you're sick; and get tested if you have symptoms.
As we prepare for the cold and flu season, we wanted to remind you that you can skip the waiting room and book a virtual visit! From coughs and colds to bumps and bruises, experience the ease and comfort of seeing your doctor from home, or wherever you are.
