TELEHEALTH APPOINTMENTS
We wanted to share with our community that in light of COVID-19, Associates for Psychological and Therapy Services is transitioning to teletherapy sessions (phone and video conferencing). Going forward, there will be no in-office therapy appointments, and all sessions will be done via telephone or video chat. Additionally, we are still accepting new clients, and initial appointments will also be done via teletherapy. We recognize that this is yet another change for our clients in an already uncertain time full of many new developments. We hope to support you as best as possible. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns by calling our office at 712-252-1473.
There are also many resources available that could assist making sense of and coping through the current struggles. For example, here is one of many resources that could help provide general guidance:

We want to extend our sincerest condolences to the family, friends, and past clients of Karen Wall. Karen passed away on October 29, 2019. She will be deeply missed, not only by her family and friends, but also by the clients she helped over the last 40 years. Karen had an unparalleled commitment to field of mental health and addiction. She earned professional reverence within this community and beyond thanks to her dedication. She positively impacted so many individuals, both directly and indirectly, across a range of life struggles. The recovery community especially has benefited exceedingly from her unfettered devotion to addiction treatment. She had been honored with a vast number of accolades, which she wholeheartedly deserved.
Karen was our friend and co-worker at Associates for Psychological and Therapy Services for almost 30 years. She was a foundational figure in the history of our practice and we are forever appreciative of her kindness, mentorship, and friendship. Karen enjoyed so many aspects of life. She was known for riding her 3-wheeler to work. She spent weekends with her husband, Gary, hauling horses to rodeos and watched her sons and grandsons participate. She was an avid quilter. Despite her best efforts, she could never pass up a piece of chocolate. Karen’s passing will surely be felt, but we are honored to have shared such a long and meaningful companionship.
There are many in the community that will be mourning her passing. Please keep Karen’s family in your thoughts.
We are in the full swing of our move to Historic 4th street! Our new space will be beautiful and spacious- more pictures to come!
