We are celebrating another employee anniversary! Denise Rosenberg has been with us for 2 years! So, I have to tell you the story. We had been looking for the right person to fill our Title Coordinator position through Indeed. I saw this resume' from a gal with a lot of experience (19 years!) but she was from the Milwaukee area. So, I called, I thought what the heck. What are the chances that she was marrying a guy from Oshkosh? Denise also held a Wisconsin title insurance license. It was like the best karma in the whole world. So, thank you Denise for your hard work and dedication these past two years. We are so happy you joined our team. You are a great asset that has strengthened our title team.
We are paying tribute today to Kris Villars, as today marks 1 year that we lost her. We know how she influenced many people, both professionally and personally. Kris set the bar high and expected those in the real estate industry to follow suit. Even though she was demanding in business, she was supportive. On a personal level she knew how to have fun and laugh. And teasing, she couldn't resist a good joke, even if it was on the receiving end. Kris was one smart cookie who truly enjoyed both work & play. Let's remember her not just today, but always and the lessons she taught us.

25 Wonderful Years of having an unbelievably talented, dedicated, hardworkng employee. As many of you know, Stephanie from our office just rocks it! Her many years of experience and her amazing work ethics are a gift no employer could have ever anticipated or expected. How lucky we are to have her here at Assurance. Thank you Stephanie for giving us your best these past 25 years AND we look forward to the years ahead.
Assurance has another work anniversary to celebrate! Ryan Demmon has been with us for 4 years. He's a young gun! Ryan came to us from the loan processing world, so he really knows how things function for the lenders on the back side. He now uses that talent to work up CD's (Closing Disclosures) and loan packages, but has the added talent of meeting with the people to explain all the documentation. And that's not all! In addition to helping the general public, Ryan really enjoys compiling the Statement Preps with the Realtors, FSBO's and Attorneys. Working with the pro's brings in a whole new element and this brings Ryan full circle. Congratulations Ryan on your accomplishments and for doing a fantastic job in caring for our customers. Rock on!
Notice: FSBO's (For Sale By Owners)
So, you are trying the FSBO method of selling your home. At Assurance Title we frequently work with FSBO's. However, there is a lot to know and we caution sellers to think about what is best for you. It may seem that saving the cost of a commission is great, but what are you opening yourself up to?
Pricing your home. Staging your home. Can you list on MLS, what is MLS? Listing your home on Zillow. Showing your home. Negotiating with a Buyer. The Offer to Purchase acceptance process.
Our biggest advice: If you decide to go the FSBO route, please hire an attorney to assist you with the Offer to Purchase. We see many problems when the Offer is not filled out properly or worse yet, a seller signs and accepts an Offer not fully realizing all the requirements within the Offer.
At Assurance Title we take pride in assisting you across the finish line to a smooth closing. Call us today at (920) 235-0017.
In a seller's market, Realtors face the big challenge of explaining the advantage of listing with a Realtor. At Assurance Title, we see the value and what is your timeline? The expertise of a Realtor and the MLS give sellers an edge and it usually pays for itself. Not to mention the hassle of trying to do it all yourself. Like: It's the buyer's responsibility to write an Offer. Many times FSBO's think it's the seller's job. That could cost you a lawsuit in the end. See our FSBO post next.
