Dr. Shetty graduated with his bachelor’s degree in biology from Hunter’s College. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Optometry at the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry. Prior to founding Astoria Park Eyecare in 2018, he worked at several optometry clinics, gaining valuable experience. Dr. Shetty is also the co-founder of LIC Vision Optometric Associates in New York City.
Astoria Park Eyecare offers preventive and reactive eyecare solutions including eye exams, contacts and glasses, treatment for dry eyes and eye infections, and keratoconus treatment. If patients require eyeglasses or contact lenses, they have the convenience of many name brand frames and lenses on-site, such as Ray Ban®️, Prada®️, and Michael Kors®️, as well as specialty lenses for astigmatism and even transitional contacts.
To provide exceptional patient care and doctor accessibility, Dr. Shetty offers urgent care solutions including weekend appointments, phone calls, and emails for eye situations in need of immediate care but doesn’t warrant a trip to the emergency room.
Dr. Shetty takes his role as the gatekeeper of his patients’ eye health seriously, so if their eye problems are advanced or in need of surgical intervention, Dr. Shetty refers them to the appropriate physician.
