*IMPORTANT: This post contains information about patient rights and SB236/HB345* PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE! Today, Creekside is celebrating 20 years of business in Athens and Limestone County. We would like to thank everyone who has made this milestone accomplishment achievable. Our patients are our family, and our goal is to provide quality healthcare for years to come. That is what makes this post so important. Alabama SB236/HB345 is a Pharmacy Choice Bill. If this bill is not supported by the Alabama Legislature than patients may lose their rights. Patients would lose the autonomy to choose their pharmacist and pharmacy. Patients would be forced to use large corporate pharmacies and smaller independent pharmacies may be forced to close due to a lack of opportunities. Smaller independent pharmacies such as Creekside offer services that large corporate pharmacies cannot. If you are too sick to drive, we offer deliveries and will bring your medications to you. We build lasting relationships with you and your families. We support education and athletics in our communities. We provide the healthcare you deserve and support our communities. This is true for many small independent pharmacies throughout the State of Alabama. These corporations want to wipe us out, and by doing so they would be doing a disservice not only to patients but to the communities we serve. We need your help to make sure that all patients have a right to choose their own pharmacy. In this post, you will see information about how to contact your Representatives and Senators if you live in Athens or Limestone County. If you do not live in Limestone County than you can find your local Representatives and Senators here: http://www.legislature.state.al.us/aliswww/ISD/Splash_Senate.aspx Please like and share this post so we can reach as many people as possible. Patients deserve a choice! If you have any questions we can be reached at (256)-232-8274 Open: M-F: 8am-6pm Sat: 8am-2p Cheers to another 20 years! And many more!

[COVID-19] UPDATE: Dual statement on behalf of Athens Creekside Drugs and Salem Pharmacy. Alabama governor, Kay Ivey, issued a statement this morning requiring most businesses to close their doors until April 17th. Moving forward, Athens Creekside Drugs and Salem Pharmacy will continue to operate as usual. During times like this it is important that we remember the oath we took as healthcare providers. It is our responsibility to take care of our patients during this time. We will continue moving forward while also practicing extreme caution. At Creekside and Salem we have been promoting patient and employee safety precautions since March 12th! This is before a single case of COVID-19 had been confirmed in the state of Alabama. After the first case was reported, our pharmacies implemented drive-thru only services, free delivery throughout Limestone County, and encouraged social distancing. We have been working hard to limit transmission of the virus while also helping our patients. We plan to stay ahead and provide the safest and best service possible. Now, a second phase of safety precautions are being implemented to provide even more protection. We will continue to keep everyone updated and to serve our community in the safest way possible! We will be here if you need us! Please feel free to call with any questions or concerns: Athens Creekside Drugs: (256)-232-8274 Salem Pharmacy: (256)-216-1820 Lastly, please share our page with your friends and loved ones. If we are going to stop the spread of COVID-19 then we must all work together! Thanks!
Alabama Public Health is with Debra Lewis and 2 others. March 21 at 2:55 PM · Together, we can stay apart and stop the spread of COVID-19.
