About

Atlas is a family-owned Physical Therapy clinic that cares for each individual. High-volume and chain clinics don’t often provide both a high continuity of care by seeing the same therapist for every visit AND one-on-one treatment sessions with a licensed physical therapist, not an unlicensed aide. At Atlas, your therapist will get to know your goals, lifestyle, and limits to develop and implement a plan catered to you. As your limits reduce and pain resolves, the treatments advance until you transition to a realistic home maintenance or exercise program.

Ready to start your pain-free journey? Give us a call today and our physical therapy team will get your customized treatment started!

Hip pain is often a big reason people are unable to perform tasks the same way they used to. Don't let your hip pain be the reason you have to slow down! Find pain relief with Atlas PT #MoveMondays https://1l.ink/5NB6T7F
"I was experiencing (L) hip pain up to 8/10 pain level during weight-bearing activities standing and walking. This pain occurred several times a day. After being treated at Atlas, working with Dr. Sam and his PT student Adam, I have experienced at least 80% improvement in pain intensity and frequency. I am able to return to my daily walks around my neighborhood and have a home exercise program to maintain & strengthen my hip and back muscles. My experience at Atlas PT has been very positive with the friendly & professional staff." -Teresa D.
If you’ve been dealing with chronic joint pain for some time, then you should know you’re not alone. Chronic pain is typically associated with arthritis, although there are plenty of other physical ailments that can lead to joint deterioration and pain. https://1l.ink/SN6CMVP
"I came to Atlas after seeing a post about your seminar on “shoulders”. I’d already been through one rotator tear of the left shoulder. I did have surgery on it for a 90-degree tear, arthritis, and spurs. I have to say it was one of the most painful surgeries I’d ever experienced. Atlas gave me hope that I would most likely not have to endure another surgery on the right shoulder (PS - forgot to mention I injured the right shoulder as well). I can honestly state that Dr. Sam Essy and Adam, and the entire staff worked to assist me in gaining strength, practicing proper postural alignment, and exercises to practice on my own. Thank you, Sam, Adam, Rebecca, Jessica, and the entire staff for bringing this ‘ole’ girl back around, on to conquer getting back into Pilates and losing 15 pounds that should belong to someone else." -Ruby P.

"Being a yoga teacher when my shoulder began being painful, my thoughts were “this isn’t good.'' I attended a shoulder workshop at Atlas, gained some knowledge of what was going on, and came in for PT with Kate. Each visit I noticed my shoulder becoming less painful and easier to use. I was faithful in doing all the exercises Kate and the staff instructed me to do. Now 2 months later I am 95% back to normal use and bearing no issues in teaching my yoga classes. I can’t possibly say enough nice and positive feelings about the staff of Atlas, this was a wonderful road to recovery thanks to Atlas." - Georgie R.

"Atlas was referred to me the day the orthopedic surgeon after my first visit, he said he had experienced nothing but success with them. My neck pain was severe, giving me sleepless nights and headaches. My progress seemed slow to me, but I noticed less pain each week. I was previously unable to enjoy doing outside gardening and yard work and golf before starting therapy. With two weekly visits to therapy and being faithful to doing my homework. I am now able to do the things that I love to do and work without suffering severe pain. Thank you, Atlas." - Dallas B.

"Before I came to Atlas, I had trouble with putting pressure on my leg due to a sports injury. My injury was more significant than I thought, so I was glad Atlas was patient with my recovery. Dr. Megan was great to work with, always friendly, and listened to how I was feeling about particular days. I recently returned to the basketball court after six months and I feel confident to play again." -Minju Z.
"When I arrived in April, I was suffering from multiple hamstring strains, back pain, plus nerve pain down my left leg. I’ve been very active all my life, but I was worried that at 53, I’d have to completely give up all the activities that I love. I began my PT regimen two times a week. At first, recovery was slow as I wouldn’t quit activities, I was involved in. I felt frail; like an old rubber band ready to snap. Soon, with a focused dedication to recovery and the reassurance from my PT, I began to feel strong again. I am back to playing sports multiple times a week and I feel stronger than I have in years! Thank you! If it weren’t for your patience and dedication, I might have lost hope that I’d ever feel one hundred percent again." -Kim B.

"I began my fitness journey at Atlas on the 15th of August 2019. I have found it to be extremely motivational as I had recently had carpal tunnel surgery. Enjoyed working with all the staff, especially Dr. Laura and Dr. Sam, who did my initial assessment. I have learned that it is important to take time for myself, both physically as well as emotionally. I am retiring in October following a 23-year career, where I worked in Recreation Therapy- long- and short-term care. I look forward to what the future holds for me and my husband as we return to our Pennsylvania roots. Thank you all, especially Dr. Megan for making this transition to better health." -Marcy Z.
