Happy May Everyone!
Iโm thinking of all of you and hoping that you and your friends and family members have all stayed healthy and safe during this time of isolation. ๐๐ผ
As the numbers of new Covid 19 cases drop in our area, we look forward to once again serving your healthcare needs. Several of you have contacted me and come in for emergency care. I am seeing patients on an individual as needed basis until we receive the go ahead to treat everyone. ๐
I am screening patients before they come in and weโre wearing masks and sanitizing thoroughly. ๐ท
Please message me if you are in need of an immediate essential adjustment and, after screening, Iโll set up a time to meet you at one of the offices. ๐
We look forward to seeing all of you back and meanwhile hope for you all to continue to stay safe, and healthy! Keep up with your exercises, stretches, healthy eating and a good positive outlook! ๐ฅฐ
Hoping that youโre all staying safe, happy and healthy and enjoying your holiday celebrations and traditions even from afar! ๐๐๐
Hey everyone! Hope that youโre all feeling great and staying healthy at home! ๐
We, regretfully, will not have regular office hours until further notice, due to the stay at home order. ๐ท
However, if you have a chiropractic emergency, Dr. Wendy will arrange a time to meet you at one of the offices. ๐
Just call the office number to reach out to her cell phone! ๐
Letโs all stay safe and healthy and continue to stay positive and pray that this will come to an end quickly! ๐๐๐ผ๐
It looks like we'll have our first snow closure of the year tomorrow!
Stay safe and warm and here is some advice to prevent injuries while shoveling!
1. Warm up โLike any exercise, make sure you are warmed up and prepped before shoveling. You should treat it as any other workout, and be sure to stretch properly beforehand to avoid injury.
2. Push, donโt toss โ A lot of people use the twisting and tossing technique, where you scoop snow and throw it to the side of your path. Doing this, creates a rotation in your spine which can cause muscle and disc injury. Instead, try pushing to the end of the path, and lift the shovel using your legs in a straight line.
3. Wear appropriate boots โ Donโt just grab any shoes when you head out to shovel. Use boots with the best traction to avoid slipping and falling on ice.
4. Take it slow โ It is important to allow yourself plenty of time to shovel, taking it slow and easy. Experts recommend shoveling in 10-15 minute increments and taking breaks when needed.
5. Stretch and hydrate afterwards- Again, just like you've worked out, take 5-10 minutes to stretch your neck, shoulders, lower back and legs when you're finished. Be sure to drink plenty of water when you're done!
For those of you who havenโt yet met the newest member of our family, hereโs Bamba! Sheโll be waiting to greet you when you come in for your next adjustment!
After Simona gives Bamba a little loving massage, Bamba returns the favor to Simona and preps her for her adjustment!๐๐ถ๐
