The Attic Records in Millvale is easily the best record store in the Pittsburgh area. While we are going full steam ahead and hoping to be a distant second at some point, you simply can't compete with the decades of history and inventory held within this place. Give yourself AT LEAST an hour to browse around here. Another bonus: they're open on Mondays. So are we.. today at least ... from noon to 5. Route 28 North is the true record shopping route in the area. Swing out to both spots sometime. We are 15 minutes north.

With the second of three "RSD Drops" quickly approaching, let's reiterate some rules and expectations.
As with all other Record Store Day events, there cannot be ANY pre-orders or holds for anyone. Customers are to be served in the order they enter the store and there is a strict limit of ONE copy of each exclusive title PER CUSTOMER.
To add to this, there are now several best practices for keeping healthy that have changed our daily lives; avoiding large groups and keeping sanitized being the most important. WE ALL MUST WEAR A MASK COVERING THE MOUTH AND NOSE FULLY and there will always be hand sanitizer up front on the counter.
On September 26th, we will be participating in RSD Drops by stocking and selling many exclusive, limited vinyl releases. We will be open at 8 a.m. that morning and urge anyone who plans on visiting us bright and early to please bring a list (of the titles that you're after) with you so that we can collect your list while you are outside the store in line and fill your list while you wait. There will only be FIVE customers allowed in the main store front at a time. If you have brought us a list to fill, the line will run quickly and smoothly. ***LAST MONTH THE LINE WAS FINISHED BY 9:05 A.M. AND EVERYONE IN LINE GOT THE BULK OF THEIR LIST. THIS REALLY WORKED OUT IN EVERYONE'S FAVOR*** Your list will be filled as fully as possible, pre-bagged and pre-totalled and when it is your turn to enter the store, you may walk directly to counter and pay for your records. IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THE CROWD/WAITING, PLEASE CONSIDER VISITING US LATE IN THE DAY OR ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH FROM 9 A.M. TO 6 P.M.
Because of the demand for exclusive records, we must limit browsing (i.e. the normal store stock will be OFF-LIMITS) from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. or so. Hello everybody,
Attic would like to announce that we now have a browser dedicated to Japanese pressings. While there are a few stray ones that do not include an obi strip (but we have anyway because they are awesome), the majority of records in this section will feature an obi strip. As our motto goes, "it is better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it".
We hope to keep this section stocked with new additions throughout the week, each week. Drop in and thumb through some of these. We dare you.

The @thirdmanrecords @thirdmanpressing copies of the new North Americans come inside a nice custom tote bag with most righteous and excellent artwork by @pupsintrouble. His work is among my favorite of current comic artists. You also get a nice poster of the album artwork and as his blurb states, "Consider a Listen".
October means Rocktober, brought to you by Rhino Records. We have their titles in stock and even an oldie but goodie Deep Purple restock. Unpictured are the Jane's Addiction copies from last week that we also just restocked. These versions go out of print quickly so please don't hesitate.
