Any dentist that tells you to stay away from candy on Halloween isn’t being realistic or fun! Instead, let’s go over some tips so you can enjoy your candy and protect your teeth from cavities!
🍬 sticky, acidic, chewy long lasting candies cause the most cavities!
🍭 have your candy with water, milk or a meal. This helps to neutralize the sugars and acids.
🍫Choose CHOCOLATE based > Sticky, sour, Or Hard candies! Bonus point for Dark Chocolate! ✨
🍬 share your candy! Constant snacking on candy all night long increases the contact time with your teeth therefore increasing your risk of cavities
🍭 BRUSH YOUR TEETH AFTER! Almost all decay is preventable with proper brushing and flossing
ProTip: for my patients that are candy addicts, I recommend switching to Xylitol based candies. It’s a natural sweetener they use instead of sugar that actually PROTECTS against decay/Cavities!
Have a safe and funfilled Halloween! 🎃

Thank you for the wonderful feedback, we absolutely love our patients! ✨
Before there was Google, these were the 5⭐️ reviews, a handwritten Thank You letter from an appreciative patient🥰. How sweet was it for her to take the time out of her day to do so. I don’t know what I’ve done to have such wonder patients and staff. I’m so thankful for an amazing team that represent my values and dedication to excellence and this letter reflects that. -Dr. Shelby Tesar
