Autism Innovations works with individuals on the Autism Spectrum, Neurological, and/or Cognitive Disorders. Through our programs we work with the individual and the entire family in order to identify areas of deficit to teach replacement behaviors that increase positive interactions and foster social growth and awareness. We also provide academic services to struggling children identified as exception as well as those that are just struggling. We take take the time to meet with both the parents and child in order to get to know any areas of deficit and strength prior to beginning instruction.
From this meeting and information gathering, a program is custom designed in order to reduce problematic behaviors while teaching how to rehearse and apply new behaviors in different settings. Our tracking and data collection tools are also unique to your child, their goals and milestones in order to measure the rate of success for each newly designed behavior.
Our approach also teaches your child how to recognize their emotional triggers. Even at young ages children can learn how to recognize what causes them the stress that results in the problematic behavior. Our older clients are taught how to recognize their physiological responses to each trigger. In instructing each client how to make the connections between trigger to behavior to consequence, they are able to accept the replacement behaviors. Accommodations are also designed and implemented in order to assist students with this process.
