2021 Ford F-150 Power, Towing, and Payload Capabilities Detailed The 2021 Ford F-150 goes on sale this fall. More details surrounding its upgraded powertrains—including that fancy hybrid—such as fuel economy data and full pricing (we have partial pricing so far), are due before then. Stay tuned for the latest updates as they become available, including developments with the 2022 F-150 Electric and the next Raptor. Ford has provided a truckload of detailed information about its new-for-2021 F-150 pickup. How much does the 2021 Ford F-150 tow? How much can it haul? How powerful are its engines? We now have the maximum payload and towing capacities for each of the F-150's six available powertrains, along with how much power each one makes. Let's go through the lot, step by step: The 2021 F-150 offers six powertrains: A 3.3-liter V-6, a twin-turbo 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6, a twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6, a gasoline-electric hybrid based around the aforementioned 3.5-liter six (dubbed PowerBoost), a turbo-diesel 3.0-liter V-6, and finally a traditional 5.0-liter V-8. Here is a breakdown of each powertrain and its output. Note that every single one is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission: •3.3-liter V-6 (290 hp, 265 lb-ft) •2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 (325 hp, 400 lb-ft) •5.0-liter V-8 (400 hp, 410 lb-ft) •3.0-liter Power Stroke V-6, turbo-diesel (250 hp, 440 lb-ft) •3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 (400 hp, 500 lb-ft) •3.5-liter PowerBoost V-6, hybrid (430 hp, 570 lb-ft) 2021 Ford F-150: Payload Capacity Every new full-size pickup that comes along claims at least one superiority in the categories of engine power, towing capacity, or payload capacity—Ford's new F-150 has laid claim to two: "Best-in-class towing and payload." Seems a little greedy, but Ford notes the F-150's maximum payload capacity of 3,325 pounds out-hauls any other light-duty, full-size pickup truck out there by at least 1,000 pounds. To get that payload, customers must choose the regular-cab model with two-wheel drive, the eight-foot bed, and the 5.0-liter V-8. They then must spec the Max Trailer Tow and Heavy-Duty Payload option packages. Here's a look at the maximum payloads delivered by each powertrain:* •3.3-liter V-6: 1,985 lbs •2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6: 2,480 lbs •5.0-liter V-8: 3,325 lbs •3.0-liter Power Stroke V-6, turbo-diesel: 1,840 lbs •3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6: 3,250 lbs •3.5-liter PowerBoost V-6, hybrid: 2,120 lbs 2021 Ford F-150: Towing Capacity Curious how much the new PowerBoost hybrid F-150 can tow? Turns out it can lug a hefty 12,700 pounds with a conventional hitch. That isn't the top of the F-150 towing heap, though. F-150s equipped with the 400-hp 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 can drag up to 14,000 pounds, a class-leading figure (again, for "conventional" towing). That towing muscle requires opting for the SuperCab (extended-cab) 2021 F-150 with two-wheel drive and the Max Trailer Tow package, and it marks an 800-pound increase over the 2020 F-150's ultimate towing capacity. Here are the maximum towing capacities for each of the 2021 F-150's powertrains:** •3.3-liter V-6: 8,200 lbs •2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6: 10,100 lbs •5.0-liter V-8: 13,000 lbs •3.0-liter Power Stroke V-6, turbo-diesel: 12,100 lbs •3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6: 14,000 lbs •3.5-liter PowerBoost V-6, hybrid: 12,700 lbs

One of the most eagerly anticipated new cars for this model year is the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E, an all-electric four-door crossover with styling inspired by the Mustang. The name has admittedly cheesed off car fans, especially those of Ford's legendary pony car, but it's hard to argue with the marketing case for it. "Mustang Mach-E" has actually managed to get the attention of non-car fans, which is something that can't be said for other electric cars not named Tesla. Reservations have been brisk, and Ford even increased the number of First Edition models it will sell to meet demand. It will arrive in dealers late in 2020 with the more powerful GT joining it late summer 2021. You'll find everything we currently know about the Mustang Mach-E below, but here's a brief rundown of the details. It's roughly the size of a compact SUV, but with a coupe-like roofline. It has five choices of motor output, depending on trim level and whether it has all-wheel drive, as well as two battery pack sizes and 240-volt charger types. The most powerful version, the Mach-E GT, produces 459 horsepower and 612 pound-feet of torque, and will reportedly accelerate quicker than any regular Mustang not named GT500. It has plenty of futuristic cabin elements (hello 15.5-inch touchscreen!) but still maintains enough traditional controls and hardware to ease the transition into the future. Finally, its pricing starts at $43,995 not including the $7,500 federal tax credit or any potential state credits. It all amounts to a promising new electric car with a distinctively American performance flair.
The all-new, 2021 Ford Bronco Sport was introduced alongside its big brother, the sixth-generation 2021 Ford Bronco, back in July. Like the regular Ford Bronco, the Bronco Sport is designed to offer excellent off-road capability and durability, but in a small, easy-to-live-with package. To demonstrate just that, The Blue Oval has created the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport Off-Roadeo Adventure Patrol. Designed for the upcoming Bronco Off-Roadeo customer adventure playgrounds, this Bronco Sport Badlands carries a Yakima LockNLoad Cargo Platform up top designed to hold recovery gear like a high-lift jack, recovery boards, and jerry cans. Also mounted to that rack system is a Ford Performance by RIGID off-road LED lightbar to illuminate the trails at night.
Meet the 2021 Escape... With a sporty, versatile design, the 2021 Escape rides boldly into the fiercely competitive small SUV market with four distinct powertrains to offer the ideal match for every customer. Escape delivers for customers who need a stylish, capable vehicle for their on-the-go lifestyles. Underneath the athletic appearance, Escape offers all-wheel drive, two gasoline engine choices, a hybrid powertrain that charges through regenerative braking and a new plug‑in hybrid model with an EPA-estimated rating of 102 MPGe.(1) The inside offers flexible cargo space and the advanced technology of standard Ford Co‑Pilot360 to help keep drivers alert and connected while they’re enjoying the ride. Come in or call for an appointment, but get to AutoNation Ford Littleton to see and drive the new sporty and roomy 2021 Escape today.

How To Use Pro Power Onboard In The 2021 Ford F-150 Of the many useful features present in the 2021 Ford F-150, Pro Power Onboard is easily one of the most highly anticipated. Quite a few owners will find it rather useful to have a generator built into their new pickups, especially one capable of powering just about anything. Now, this new instructional video from Ford demonstrates how to use the new Pro Power Onboard system in just a few easy steps. When the 2021 Ford F-150 is started, Pro Power Onboard system can supply 400 watts of courtesy power to outlets located inside the truck’s cabin. This consists of one 120 volt outlet located on the instrument panel and one outlet on the back of the center console. The number of cargo bed outlets depends on how the truck is configured – the 2.0-kilowatt and 2.4 kilowatt systems have two 120-volt outlets, while the 7.2-kilowatt system has four 120-volt outlets and one 240-volt outlet. When the system is turned on, LED indicators on each outlet light up, then turn off when the system is off, and flash when the system is in fault mode. To use the 2.0-kilowatt system, start the engine, then press the Pro Power Onboard button located next to the headlight control, or using the touchscreen, press “Features,” then “Pro Power Onboard,” then “Power,” then “Generator Mode.” Either method sends 2,000 watts to the cabin outlets. Pressing the button in the bed turns on those outlets, which must not exceed 2,000 watts of draw from all devices connected to them. Power draw can be monitored via the touchscreen, and exceeding that limit will cause a system shutdown that requires owners to unplug all devices and reset the system before it will restart. Utility idle mode also allows the owner to remove the key from the ignition or turn it off, lock the vehicle, and keep all outlets running. Powering on the 2.4 or 7.2-kilowatt systems is similar to the 2.0-kilowatt system, but since they’re paired with Ford’s 3.5L PowerBoost V6, the owner simply has to put their foot on the brake and press the start button until the green light comes on. If the hybrid battery pack is at full charge, the truck will not turn on, but the system will be ready to activate. With the 2.4-kilowatt system, total draw cannot exceed 2,400 watts, while the 7.2-kilowatt system cannot exceed 7,200 watts.
