Our gorgeous patient found Dr. Nayak on IG and flew in from Texas for facial rebalancing.
Her preop facial analysis showed that her lower face lacked structure, drawing attention away from her beautiful upper face.
She is now 3 years postop from a custom chin implant and buccal fat reduction. Her entire face is balanced, and her results are permanent.
We could not be happier for her!!
Her new structure will also age better. Her neck will not fall as early thanks to her improved chin support, and she will not look gaunt from the buccal fat removal. (Patients who have excess buccal fat in youth still have excess, prominent buccal fat with age. The buccal fat pad does not shrink over time. )

The Dunning-Kruger Effect:
People in the red circle tend to be most confident and vocal, overestimating their intellectual authority and cognitive ability. But they know “just enough to be dangerous.” Posts from these people can look flashy and professional, yet be full of misinformation or unproven ideas being passed off as “facts.”
This state persists until their competence eventually (hopefully?) increases to the point where they become aware of their shortcomings, and embark on the long journey to becoming a true expert.
Simply put: the ill-informed don’t know enough to realize that they are ill-informed. They don’t have the prism of experience to look through when they evaluate new ideas. To them, the world is simple, intuitive, and black and white. Intuition trumps all, including formal, structured education and decades of professional experience.
Remember: confidence does not equal competence 🔑
